Beachside casual culinary delight. Great accidental 'discovery' upon first rolling into town. Food truck only open 3 days a week so when they're closed, they're literally not there. Exquisite hibiscus-ginger bebida, delicious crab-stuffed avocado. Proper tostones. Staff were so warm and welcoming, even in the rain. Gave me plenty of advice for the rest of my stay. Not a busy traffic area - was a peaceful vibe and view of the beach turning to twilight.

If you want to try something off the beaten path and outside of the tourist traps, I'd HIGHLY recommend Bistro del Mar (food truck) in Luquillo. Dont let the area throw you off. The setting is perfect, just off the beach (though dont go swimming there, too dangerous). We were there late in the evening - perfect weather, brezze, and the sound of the ocean. Perfecto! Food made with love for the people, ingredients home grown in their own garden, fusion style - collision of flavors in your mouth from the first bite to the last. Lets just say that i was completely stuffed. The owners are amazing and immediately embraced us as familia! Always happy to support buena gente y buena comida!
This food truck has plenty of vegetarian options. Chef and the servers were very warm and welcoming. We had a long chat with them and we plan to go there again because the people are so amazing. Food was yummy. They’ve incorporated chickpeas in vegetarian food which we loved. It’s right across the beach. Video and pics do not do justice. Vibe of this place is very local, friendly and pleasant. If you can’t find the location of food truck, call them and they send you a pin for exact location.
This food truck literally SAVED me and many others on New Year’s Eve when nothing in town was open after 9pm. Even after they intended to close they took my order. The wait was long, over an hour, but there were 20 people ahead of me when I arrived so it was as to be expected, because it’s a family run operation with only two people making the food. The food was worth the wait though and the couple was friendly to everyone despite people complaining about the wait. Huge, flavorful, restaurant-style meals out of a tiny truck — highly recommended.
Awesome food. We are vegetarian and chef made sure we get the best of it and he did it. Great location too close to beach. Ita a food truck but dont miss it. Really good. God bless the resto family.
Another WOW meal in Luquillo This food truck is the bomb. They were so nice. We came by after seeking out a Puerto Rican owl sighting and they welcomed us with open arms at 9:51pm, gave us great food recommendations, had a spicy crab special available, the EMPANADAS were amazing, the STUFFED PINEAPPLE THO- such an exquisite flavor combination. Coconut lemonade, regular lemonade, refreshing, delicious. We sat in the ocean breeze (tables available there) and soaked in the glory of this epic food stop. I don't know who you are reading this review but stop looking at food reviews on Google and go get some bistro.
My fiancè and I were looking for good vegetarian options in Luquillo and are so happy we stumbled upon this place. Amazing food, really fresh ingredients, and the vegetarian options are amazing- so flavorful and filling. We wish we found this place earlier. We wanted to visit it a few more times! Really great food and great price.
Enjoyed our last dinner in Puerto Rico dining at Bistro del Mar. If you are near Luquillo, you gotta check them out. It's a husband and wife owned joint, and they add flavor and ingredients from their own farm/garden. These folks love food, and they love their community, and it shows. Loved meeting them, enjoying the incredible flavors they put together. You've gotta try their empenadas and homemade hot sauces.
